Anti-estrogens, what are they used for?

The anti-estrogen are essential protectors for a treatment of steroids in all serenity. A conscientious athlete that he is beginner, confirmed or professional to a responsibility vis-à-vis his body and his health.

Taking steroids may entail certain health risks: gynecomastia, infertility, stress on the liver ... taking anti-estrogens makes it possible to guard against these harmful side effects.

The main anti-estrogens are:

• Proviron
• Nolvadex
• Clomid
• Legalon 70
• Samarin 140

We will present to you the anti-estrogens that we have just listed with a general presentation of the products, we will explain the effects and contributions of each one, ending with the recommended dosage for total protection.

PROVIRON

Contributions / Effects

Proviron is composed of mesterolone dosed at 25 mg per tablet. It is not an anabolic but a very powerful anti-estrogen.
Proviron acts as an anti-aromatic: it prevents the aromatization (transformation) of anabolic steroids into estrogen. It thus prevents gynecomastia and it is very often combined with Nolvadex to increase its effectiveness. It should indeed be specified that Proviron and Nolvadex are two anti-estrogens whose mechanisms of action are different but complementary, and it is for this reason that the combination of these two products is so effective: while Proviron prevents the Anabolic aromatization, Nolvadex clogs estrogen receptor cells, preventing it from working. It is therefore a formidable tandem. Proviron is also not only an excellent anti-estrogen: by keeping estrogen levels low, Proviron also decreases water retention. It thus gives the user the skinned “look” sought by so many bodybuilders, especially when preparing for competitions.
It should be noted that Proviron tends to limit muscle gains during a steroid cycle. Indeed, it attaches to the receptor androgen cells in place of other steroids present in the body which then remain blocked on the outside and therefore produce no effect. This is why many bodybuilders take a minimal dose of Proviron in order to prevent gynecomastia from developing.

Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets of 25 mg per day (after eating) for the duration of the cycle are necessary to avoid the effects of gynecomastia, infertility and water retention.

NOLVADEX

Contributions / Effects

Nolvadex is composed of tamoxifen citrate. It is not an anabolic steroid but an anti-estrogen. Oral administration.

Nolvadex is a powerful anti-estrogen and a favorite among bodybuilders. It avoids the phenomena of feminization that frequently occur at the end of a cycle of anabolic steroids. The phenomena observed are gynecomastia as well as fatty and watery retention in the hips or breasts. Indeed, at the end of the cycle, most anabolic steroids aromatize into estrogen hormone, causing the appearance of these symptoms. Tamoxifen citrate has the ability to block estrogen receptors, preventing it from working and causing these phenomena. Many bodybuilders use Nolvadex before a competition because in addition to its action against gynecomastia, reducing water and fat retention helps the bodybuilder to achieve a lean physique.

Finally, Nolvadex has the ability to increase the production of endogenous testosterone, which is particularly appreciated by bodybuilders at the end of the cycle. Indeed, at the end of a cycle, the production of testosterone is generally at a relatively low level, inhibited and replaced by the action of anabolics. Serious accidents can therefore occur after stopping a steroid cycle if the production of natural testosterone is not brought back to a normal level. Novaldex helps prevent this type of accident by boosting the production of testosterone in the testicles.

The main disadvantage of Nolvadex is that it decreases the gains produced by anabolics. This is the reason why many athletes only use it when they have to in order to avoid gynecomastia.

As for the side effects of this product, they are usually limited to some nausea and some visual disturbances. Finally, it should be noted that if Novaldex blocks estrogen receptors and prevents it from acting, it does not eliminate this hormone from the body. This means that after stopping treatment with Novaldex, a significant amount of estrogen hormone that has remained inactive will suddenly be able to attach to the newly released receptors, causing feminizing effects that had been avoided until then. This is a phenomenon that can be prevented by combining Nolvadex with another anti-estrogen such as Proviron, thus allowing radical effectiveness.

Dosage: 20 mg per day (after eating) for the duration of the cycle is necessary to avoid the effects of gynecomastia, infertility and water retention.

It is recommended to take 1 Proviron and 1 Nolvadex per day for the duration of the steroid cycle.

CLOMID

Contributions / Effects

Clomid is composed of clomiphene citrate. Clomid is administered orally. Clomiphene citrate is not an anabolic steroid but a synthetic estrogen hormone which is used in bodybuilding with the aim of combating a number of hormonal imbalances caused by taking anabolic steroids.

Clomid is primarily a fertility drug that was created to stimulate ovulation in women who have difficulty getting pregnant. This molecule also has the property
to stimulate the production of endogenous testosterone in men inside the testes, by increasing the secretion of the hormones LH and FSH. It is this last property that interests bodybuilders because they undergo certain hormonal imbalances when they use steroids, and in particular when these steroids are strongly androgenic. Many androgens, and especially the strongest ones such as Oxymetholone, Dianabol…, have the unfortunate consequence of reducing the natural production of testosterone in the body throughout the steroid cycle. This is easily explained if we consider that the supply of external androgens makes it unnecessary for the body to manufacture testosterone since these androgens produce the same effect as testosterone. The body therefore reacts by stopping the production of testosterone, since it is no longer needed during the cycle.

The trouble is that after the end of the cycle, the metabolism does not immediately restart this production of testosterone which has become dangerously low. It is therefore urgent to stimulate it if we want to avoid a serious metabolic accident caused by a catastrophic loss of weight and strength. This is why bodybuilders use Clomid, which triggers the production of endogenous testosterone in the testicles, and therefore avoids the accident.

Athletes report that a daily dose of 50 to 100 mg of Clomid can restore normal testosterone levels within 3 weeks. However, before starting treatment with Clomid, bodybuilders usually use HCG which also increases endogenous testosterone production, but whose action is much faster. HCG is used first to raise the testosterone level of the subject immediately after the end of the cycle, then the treatment is continued more durably with Clomid. The HCG concerns people following intermediate and confirmed cures. Clomid alone is sufficient for beginners.

Clomiphene citrate is also an effective antiestrogen. At the end of the cycle, there is often a risk of gynecomastia due to the transformation of steroids into estrogen, because these substances have, despite their very different effects, very similar chemical formulas. By occupying estrogen receptor cells in place of estrogen, Clomid prevents estrogen in the body from acting and thus helps to avoid its related effects, especially gynecomastia.

Dosage: 50 to 100 mg per day (after eating) for 3 weeks is necessary to restore the normal level of testosterone in the body.

LEGALON (70 mg) / SAMARIN (140 mg)

Vital organ of the human organism, the liver fulfills several essential functions and plays a preponderant role in the metabolism, by assimilating and processing carbohydrates, albumins and lipids. The liver also acts on digestion (bilious secretions) and on the detoxification of unhealthy ballasts. Silymarin, a plant agent extracted from milk thistle (Silybummarianum) used in the composition of Legalon / Samarin, protects the liver against all harmful influences and promotes the reconstitution of healthy cells. Unless otherwise indicated, start treatment with a daily dose of 420 mg of silymarin, ie: 6 capsules of Legalon 70 and 3 capsules of Samarin 140. Taking Legalon / Samarin may in isolated cases cause a slight laxative action.

Dosage: during a cycle of harmful steroids like Dianabol, Androlic, Anavar… in order not to have harmful effects on your liver it is enough to take Legalon / Samarin at the rate of 140mg to 420mg per day. The intake must be spaced out during the day (morning / noon / evening always after eating).

ABSTRACT

To cycle safely, take 1 Proviron and 1 Nolvadex per day while taking steroids. If, however, you are on a steroid cycle that is harmful to the liver, you should add Légalon 70 or Samarin 140 (140mg to 420mg per day). At the end of the cycle, do not forget to take 1 Clomid per day for 20 days.
