Nolvadex is a powerful anti-estrogen and a favorite among bodybuilders. It helps prevent feminization symptoms that often occur at the end of an anabolic steroid cycle, such as gynecomastia and fat and water retention in the hips or breasts. Indeed, at the end of a cycle, most anabolic steroids aromatize into the hormone estrogen, causing these symptoms. Tamoxifen citrate has the ability to block estrogen receptors, thus preventing estrogen from acting and causing these symptoms.
